CLASS RESULTS, JUDGE'S CRITIQUE AND PHOTOS OF CLASS WINNERS

Thanks to the Committee for this appointment it was a friendly well organized and ran show and a credit
to the hard working committee and its members and a very enjoyable day.

I was pleased with my bitch line up especially for uniformity and similarity there were also some good
exhibits that were let down by handling skills which could dramatically improve their performance and
placings of their charges, Please observe some of the more experienced handlers and do not be afraid to
ask them for their guidance and help as I am sure they would only be willing to assist you.

On the whole, colours were very good, eye shape, ear set and skulls varied, and so did width on
hindquarters and some showed close hind actions in the lower placings but this did not detract from class
winners. Looking at the catalogue many placings had the same sire especially the bitches,  Goodboy Van't Stokerybos from the Meadowpark kennel or were of another dominant breed kennel from Monalou lines,
a credit to both breeders here.

VETERAN DOG
  (2 entered, 1 absent)
1st MacLeod's Torralbaz Hogmanay.   Best Veteran in Show.  8 ½.  Masculine lad.  Superb happy temperament.
Head ratios balanced and good eye shape and colour.  Jowls clean, good fit. Correct bite and under jaw. Ample
reach of neck and firm top line and well muscled hindquarters and solid round rump firm hocks and moved well
in the inside conditions. Coat presented well.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (1 entered, 1 absent)

PUPPY DOG  (5, 1)
1st Newton & Hogg's Kumo v't Maroyke (imp bel)  Good silhouette on the stand. Skull developing on right lines
just needs to balance out a shade more to bring up ear set but with enough stop, . Would like a tad more reach of
neck.  Deep chest and straight front legs, firm top line and stifle, neat tidy hock giving firm rear drive Coat well
presented Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in Show.
2nd Menelan's Floskirk Oronsay.  Really liked this lad but a little nervy on handling with more practice this will
come. Head developing ok and balanced for age adequate stop and furrow. Good reach of neck and shoulder,
firm top line showed reach in front and sound on rear shall watch with interest.
3rd King's Elnside Going The Distance.  Skull ratios and bone ok, dark eyes. Straight front with ample bone
moved closer on rear than 1and 2.

JUNIOR DOG  (4, 1)
1st MacLeod's Torralbaz Lord Of The Isles.  Head balanced, good bite and under jaw, tidy jowls. Adequate stop
and furrow. Ample reach of neck, ok in shoulder.  Firm body and muscle, strong hock which showed in movement, scored on tail set and carriage over 2nd . Well presented.
2nd Addison's Torralbaz Lord Of The Manor.  Another nice make and shape. Larger and heavier boned than 1.
Firm body and good strong rear action, tail set and carriage spoilt outline on the move, another day could change,
occasionally wide in front needs to find a steady balance gait with handler.
3rd MacDonald’s Torralbaz Clan Chieftain.  Expression soft, needs more width on skull to muzzle ratios for me,
today mouth shy. Firm body and moved ok.

YEARLING DOG  (3)
1st Mair & Hartley-Mair's Meadowpark Sugar Daddy.  Good make and shape on the stand.  Skull still developing,
jowls clean and fitting, good bite, nice width of muzzle. Ample reach of neck into good shoulder.  Firm top line
and firm muscle tone, good bend of stifles, firm hocks, tidy compact feet, moved well with good
tail carriage.
2nd Nicol's Noralu Howl In The Night.  Exuberant lad. Balanced head proportions, bite could be better.
Moved ok when found a stride, needs more practice.
3rd Addison's Torralbaz Lord Of The Manor.  Again balance on the move cost him here.

MAIDEN DOG  (2)
1st Newton & Hogg's Kumo v't Maroyke (imp bel).  Winner of Puppy earlier and had settled more here.
2nd Menelan's Floskirk Oransay  Well grown lad of 11months reasonable make and shape pasterns in front quite
weak and this showed in forward movement needs more practice and time to settle.

(Apologies - no photo available)
NOVICE DOG  (2)
1st Carty's Floskirk Berneary (taf).
2nd earlier in Puppy, here moved a lot better but only first time for handler
and exhibit, please persevere and practice.
2nd King's Elnside Going The Distance.  Another one for practice lessons.  Movement all over the place due to
lack of experience.

GRADUATE DOG  (3)
1st Gall's Sanmarwell A Tric In The Tail.  Good overall make and shape. Skull a little more to still develop.
Good bite. Ample reach of neck, firm top line.   Straight front and tidy feet.  On the move, when settled, showed
positive actions fore and aft.
2nd Scott’s Welshbern Trafys of Scobern ShCM.   Head balanced.  Ample neck. Deep chest and ribbing, feet
could be tighter and more compact on the stand and this showed on the move also more strength in pastern
which showed on the front movement.  Good tail set and carriage.
3rd Maunder's Elnside Man Of The Moment.  Head broad and muzzle a tad short appearing unbalanced . Would
like more neck. Short in upper arm and this showed on the move giving lack of reach.

POST GRADUATE DOG  (9, 2)
1st  Scobie's Monalou Licence To Thrill.  Reserve Best Dog    Good shape and balance on the stand. Skull
developed with balance ample stop and slight furrow, correct bite and good under jaw and tight flews. Eye
shape and colour good. Ample reach of neck good lay of shoulders   Firm top line and tail set with a rounded
broad rump. Correct bend of stifle into firm hocks on tidy compact feet Firm muscled thighs, which showed
in positive movement and good tail carriage.
2nd  Addison's Elnside The Dark Knight. Longer cast in coupling than 1. Skull still developing. Deep brisket
and width to rear, front needs to tighten to give firmer pasterns when stood and coming toward and side view
of gait, here just moved more steady than 3.
3rd  Gall's Sanmarwell a Tric in the Tail  If was more settled  may have changed place.

LIMIT DOG  (2, 1)
1st Dickson's Monalou Dutch Connexion To Geruth.  Best Dog. Impresive in profile assisted by clever
handler. Skull balanced in width, lovely furrow and stop.  Strong muzzle and under jaw, tidy jowls and
correct bite.  Muscular neck into good shoulders, deep chest and ribbing, well coupled and firm loins into well
muscled thighs with good bend of stifles and firm hocks. Tail set well placed in rounded rump.  Moved out in
front giving reach and he drove from his rear. Stood alone but has so many good qualities.
Best Dog & Best in Show. Well Done.

OPEN DOG  (5, 3)
1st Grimes Fortonpark Secret Gift.  Unplaced earlier. Here had some better points than 2.  Ear
set could be better and needed more neck. Far too much weight on shoulders and angulation could be better
as this showed on the move.
2nd Scott’s Welshbern.  Super Trouper of Scobern ShCM.  Skull ok, ample stop, would like a tighter jowl and
better fitting eye.  Dental issues need addressing but bite ok. Front could be firmer on the move. Top line ok, a
shade steep in croup for me. Needs to be firmed back up in muscle tone all through.

VETERAN BITCH  (2, 2)

MINOR PUPPY BITCH  (2)
1st Kelly's Belhof Katelijne . Best Puppy Bitch.  9 months on the day, everything together at
this stage, sweet feminine expression.  Skull balanced for width and muzzle, good bite. Good ear set and
shape, ample reach of neck, good shoulders and straight front, neat feet. Top line firm for age with good
bend of stifle, moved well fore and aft, tail a tad gay in the challenge for Best Puppy Bitch, should do
well.
2nd Thomson’s Bernemcourt The Angel for Glenvarlock.  Lovely make and shape but still raw as should
be at this tender age.  Skull developing on right lines, lovely reach of neck, just tended to stand under herself
on the rear today, when moving she performed well.

PUPPY BITCH  (4, 3)
1st Sawyers Floskirk Faray.  Stood on a growth spurt at the moment, needs a shade more width back in
skull to balance. Ample reach to neck, needs to tighten on feet and all through as appeared a little loose
and a fraction bum high. Moved better here but in the challenge moved close on the rear.

JUNIOR BITCH  (6)
1st McCormick's Monalou Artic Queen.
Best Bitch,  Reserve Best in Show &  Best Opposite Sex.  Ideal make
and shape and made a good silhouette on the stand with good bone. Good bite and under jaw, good fitting
jowls.  Nice eye shape and colour and good ear set.  Sufficient reach of neck into correct shoulders. Firm top line
and muscled loins, neat hocks which she used on the move giving drive.
2nd Mair & Hartley-Mair's Meadowpark Living The Dream.  Another lovely girl. Slightly longer in couplings
than 1.  Skull feminine and correct ratios. Good bite, eye and ear set. Firm level back. Turn of stifle
showed on the move with a broad rounded rear close to 1, just preferred the front on 1 on the move.
3rd Gerrard’s Torralbaz Designer Diamond.  Similar type, again just a tad mouth shy but came round eventually. Her positive movement got her the place here. Another day could be different result.

YEARLING BITCH  (5, 1)
1st   Mair & Hartley-Mair's Meadowpark Whispers Breeze.  Eye-catching when entering the ring. Feminine,
good solid make and shape. Lovely ratios to head, correct bite and good fitting jowls. Correct eye shape of
good Colour.  Super neck and shoulders Lovely deep broad chest. Firm top line and muscled loins and rear.
Rounded rump with good tail set. Neat hocks give her propulsion and drive but is assisted by a quality handler.  Really thought she was my Best bitch but in the challenge she was unbalanced on the rear, flying her tail this cost her
dearly, love to see her outside, shall watch her progress.
2nd Davidson’s Meadowpark Whispers Shadow.  Litter sister to 1 and similar qualities apply as above but not
quite the bone.  Her front assembly could just be a little firmer in muscle but still a good rear and tail set.
Moved well but not quite the ring presence of 1 today. Firm her up and she can challenge the best.
3rd Ashby & Mythew's Clanquaich Retro Spec. . A different type here, more rangy and not the width all through
as 1 and 2.  Tail carriage was a tad gay and tended to be close at hock in rear action.

MAIDEN BITCH  (3, 2)
1st Sawyers Floskirk Faray.  Here put in a more controlled movement.

NOVICE BITCH  (2, 1)
1st Davidson's Meadowpark Whispers Shadow.  Alone, still a bitch that requires another good look from the
judge in any class.

GRADUATE BITCH  (4, 2)
1st Davidson's Meadowpark Whispers Shadow.  Here she had settled and moved really well.
2nd Blincow's Elnside Bright Future.  Skull ok, eye a little loose fitting which gave a different expression.
Neck ok, a little short in upper arm, this showed on the move when there were four feet on the ground.

POST GRADUATE BITCH  (6)
1st Blincow's Elnside Bright Future.  Preferred her overall breed points than 1 and 2.
2nd Grimes Fortonpark  Mol Flanders.  Preferred her head overall and expression than 3. Short in neck and
upper arm which showed on the move.
3rd McAllister’s Tiggerfik Hunny Bee. Not the bone of 1 and 2, more rangy in profile. Feet could be more
compact. Good bend of stifles though and moved steady.

LIMIT BITCH  (4, 1 withdrew)
1st McCormick's Torralbaz Diamond Princess. Ideal feminine size and shape. Good bone.  Quality skull, good
ear set and eye colour, lovely expression. Nice reach of neck, good shoulder placement, firm top line
and muscled loins and rear.  Good bend of stifle gave propulsion and drive from neat hocks, moved out so well,
preferred her feet and firmness in pastern coming toward.
2nd Gerrard's Monalou Dutch By Design At Torralbaz.  Another lovely girl.  Good bone. Balance in
feminine head and expression.  Lovely eye colour and shape.  Deep chest and ribbing, firm back. Moved well
with spirit and gusto, would just like a firmer pastern coming toward but this can be improved
3rd Hogg's IschkaVan t Morayke To Bunganeezee (Imp). Smaller bitch. Head a little weaker than 1 and 2,
shoulders ok, would like a bit more upper arm.  Shorter in leg which showed in reach as she has a good deep brisket.

OPEN BITCH  (5, 2)
1st Gerrard'sTorralbaz Designer Diamond.  Reserve Best Bitch.  Well balanced medium sized lady.
Skull and muzzle ratios balanced, good fitting jowls. Feminine expression as correct eye shape, stop and furrow.
Ample reach of neck, deep chest and well ribbed.  Straight firm front. Neat feet. Level top line into firm loins and rounded rear.  Neat hocks showed in positive movements with lovely tail carriage
2nd Mair &Hartley-Mair's Meadowpark Dark Temptation.  Dam of Living the Dream. Slightly larger bitch but
still well balanced.  Ratios of muzzle and broad skull good, soft expression. Strong rear and hocks, moved with
gusto, preferred front togetherness on 1.
3rd Grimes Fortonpark Mol Flanders.  On the stand not shape and make of 1 and 2
